Buck Creek Plantation is a division of Isaacson Family Enterprises, LLC, owned and operated by Doug, Peter, & Eric Isaacson. Buck Creek Plantation was acquired following the sale of our interests in three self-storage facilities and two truck rental agencies located in Montgomery. After owning and operating the self-storage and trucking operation for over 16 years, we diversified investment with our first tree property purchase in fall 2017. Our second tree property acquisition was the former Reynolds Plantation, a property dating back to the 1800s. In January 2018, we purchased the Ruth Berney estate, a 74-acre property with a three-bedroom brick house now converted into our headquarters and rustic hunting lodge. In 2018, we acquired the Beans property, a 74-acre property of cut over land. This property has undergone several improvements including a 2400 square foot pole barn. In the Winter of 2020, we began the development of a 14 acre, 20 foot deep lake, which is almost full of water today. Pictures of the lake can be see on the Sustainable Forest link. In June of 2021 we purchased the 79 acre estate of Noimi Burney.
